Tools
Tools
The small jobs that fill a week, built in.
Converting a file, marking up a photo, getting a signature, scanning a delivery ticket: each one usually means another app. In Jig they sit next to the job they belong to, and what you make lands in the right record.
Every tool is included in every seat, field seats too.
Files and photos
Convert
Drop in a file and pick from the formats it can become. PDFs merge, split, rotate and compress; images convert between TIFF, PNG, JPEG and WebP; spreadsheets between XLSX, CSV and ODS; field and GIS files between KML, KMZ, GPX, shapefiles and GeoJSON, with reprojection; DXF drawings and IFC models. Save the result straight into a project's files, drawings, schedule or site map, with a note of where it came from.
Most conversions run in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
A format Jig can't convert says so in the picker.
Video files can't be converted here.
Photo mark-up
One mark-up tool for every photo in Jig: arrows, clouds, text, numbered callouts, dimensions, angles and areas, with real measurements once you set one known length. Layers by trade or author, stamps, crop, straighten and perspective correction. The original photo is never changed; every save is a version you can restore, and the records it's sent to always show the latest one.
Blur faces and license plates by drawing a box over them; the blur is burned into the exported photo. Jig never recognizes or identifies people.
Scanner
Point a phone at a page: edges are found, the perspective is fixed and shadows are lifted, and several pages become one searchable PDF. Send it to any record, or turn a receipt into an expense.
PDF form filler
Fill the fields in any fillable PDF, save it, and flatten it when it's final. Fields can fill from the project, so the address and project number are already in.
Signing
Signatures from your team
Ask the people on your team to sign any PDF in Jig: place signature, initials, date and text fields, and have people sign in order or all at once. Every step is recorded in an audit certificate attached to the signed copy, which stays with the project.
Around the office
QR codes and labels
QR codes for a project, a record, a piece of equipment or an asset tag, printed on standard label sheets or a thermal label printer, with your logo.
Calculators
Add working days on the project's own calendar, count the working days between two dates, convert units (length, area, volume, weight, slope, concrete yardage, rebar and lumber sizes) and convert currencies at the day's reference rate.
Meeting notes to tasks
Keep the attendees, agenda, notes, decisions and action items for a meeting. Action items become tasks with an owner, a due date and a project, and the next meeting in the series opens with what's still open. Send the minutes as a PDF on your letterhead.
Announcements
Post to the whole company or pin a post to one project. Everyone can read them, field seats included; safety posts can go out as a push notification, and you can see who has read a post.
Contacts
Suppliers, inspectors, utilities, owners' representatives and emergency contacts, beyond your Jig users and trade partners. Link them to projects, import and export contact cards, and print a project's emergency contact card.
Dates, equipment and expenses
Expiry tracker
Anything with an expiry date: insurance policies, licenses, certifications such as OSHA 30 or operator cards, vehicle registrations and inspections, equipment certifications, permits and bonds. Reminders come at 60, 30 and 7 days by default, in the same Needs attention list as everything else.
Equipment pre-start checklists
A QR code on the machine opens its checklist on the operator's phone. Items pass, fail or don't apply, with a photo when needed; a failed item opens a safety observation or a service ticket, and each machine keeps its own history.
Expenses and receipts
Photograph a receipt and the vendor, date, total and tax are read for you. Tag the project and cost code, send it for approval, and export expenses each month to a spreadsheet or to QuickBooks Online through the connection you already have. Jig doesn't pay anyone back; reimbursement stays in your own process.
Mileage
Log a trip by odometer or distance, with the project and purpose, at the year's IRS rate or your own. Mileage exports with expenses.
Rates: euro reference rates from the European Central Bank, as of the day shown in the converter, via Frankfurter. Cross rates calculated by Jig from the euro rates. For information only; not for transactions.
